St. Andrews
Prior to the start of renovation, an arborist determined that St. Andrews’ oak tree was in a state of terminal decline. Despite this news, the library attempted to protect the tree and extend its life. During the construction process the tree continued to decline. For everyone's safety, we made the difficult decision to remove the nearly 50 year old tree and replace with additional plantings. Its legacy lives on through the remaining library oak which sprouted from one of its acorns in the 90s.
