On June 10, 2016, Richland Library hosted a wall-breaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction at its Blythewood location. Members of the community shared how the resources, programs and services offered have impacted their lives. In addition, local officials grabbed hard hats and sledgehammers to start the renovation process while children with the Blythewood Bookworms knocked down their own “brick” wall to celebrate the milestone.
